Long before food festivals and competitions, BBQ lovers from across Chicagoland traveled to Robbins for Blanche’s Barbecue. Known for its unforgettable flavor and welcoming atmosphere, Blanche’s helped establish Robbins as a true BBQ destination.
While the restaurant is now part of our history, the spirit of great barbecue and community lives on.
Robbins Rib Fest honors that legacy, bringing together talented pitmasters, delicious food, live entertainment, and the same hometown pride that made Robbins famous for great BBQ.

Robbins Rib Fest is a two-day celebration of great food, friendly competition, and community pride, hosted by Robbins Block Clubs, Inc. and Robbins Friends of the Park.
This annual event brings together talented pitmasters, backyard grillers, local organizations, and BBQ lovers from across the region for a weekend filled with bold flavor, live entertainment, family fun, and the smoky spirit that celebrates Robbins’ rich barbecue tradition.

What's On The Grill?
Welcome to Robbins Rib Fest Festival!
Robbins Rib Fest is a premier food festival that features two days of delicious competition, showcasing the skills, creativity, and flavor of our participating teams in this exciting BBQ competition in Robbins, IL.
Day 1 Pork Rib Competition
The spotlight is on Pork Ribs, as teams compete for top honors and bragging rights in the rib competition that draws attention from the Chicago South Suburbs.
Optional Entry: Teams may also enter one side dish, which must be prepared on the grill or smoker. This category highlights creativity and the art of outdoor cooking.
Day 2 Chicken Competition
Day two features the ½ Chicken Competition.
Entry Requirements:
Chicken must be submitted as one half (uncut)
The leg, thigh, breast, and wing must remain attached.
Optional Entry: Teams may also enter a grilled or smoked burger, showcasing their versatility and flavor beyond traditional BBQ, making this rib festival an event not to be missed.
